Getting by with a little (virtual) help from our friends.
We miss you, Falcons!
Home Learning begins again on Monday, April 20, 2020
The closure of all schools in the Long Beach Unified School District will
extend through June 11, the end of the academic year due to
the COVID-19 pandemic.
Updated Grading Information from LBUSD
Thank you for everything you are doing to support your child’s learning during school closures due to the coronavirus pandemic. Beginning Thursday, April 23, our school district’s Home Learning Opportunities will continue with modifications. Until now, these lessons have been ungraded. As of April 23, students will be responsible for assignments and participation. We know, however, that students are not simply “learning at home.” They are learning at home during difficult circumstances for themselves and their families. With the pandemic crisis in mind, we have adjusted our student grading measures accordingly as indicated in this one-page Expectations for Students document.
LBUSD Home Learning Opportunities
During school closures, students and parents can use the Home Learning Opportunities website at lbschools.net to find resources specific to individual schools and teachers. Helpful resources for parents can be found here.
The Long Beach Unified School District’s free meal service program announces changes at three school locations listed below. Children ages 1 to 18 will continue to be offered breakfast and lunch meals at no cost to families. Parents may continue to pick up meals without children present at any of our 34 serving locations with some form of documentation that shows the names of your children to match the number of meals requested. View a map of LBUSD school locations here or at lbschools.net under ABOUT > Map.
