President: Jennifer Krueckeberg

I'm honored to be your new PTA President!

As the mom of three wonderful children—Keira, who is 3 years old; Conner, who is 5 and starting kindergarten this year; and Kaylee, who is in 7th grade at Rogers—I am deeply invested in our school community. This marks my 8th year at Fremont, and I am incredibly proud to be a part of the Fremont Family.

I have a passion for supporting our teachers, making everyone feel included, and ensuring our PTA program is a place where everyone feels welcome and their voice matters. I'm committed to fostering a welcoming and collaborative environment where parents, teachers, and students can thrive.

I'm very excited to work with my fellow board members to continue making Fremont an exceptional place for our children to learn and grow. Your opinion matters to me! Please don’t ever hesitate to reach out with suggestions or concerns, and I’ll do my best to address them.

I look forward to collaborating with all of you to make this school year a memorable and successful one for our children. Let's continue to support our school, our teachers, and each other as we navigate this journey together.

Executive Vice President: Katerina Hojgrova Neme

Hello, Fremont Families! I am Katerina Hojgrova Neme, proud mom of Alexandra, who is starting 3rd grade at Fremont, and Isabelle, who will be joining the school next fall. I am excited to serve as the Vice President of the PTA this year. I have deep love for this school, its wonderful community, and the values it instills in our children.

I am an Executive Director of a national non-profit of academics and professionals who are passionate about improving the built environment while addressing impact of climate change. I am also a Reiki practitioner, a yogi. Spending time with my family and learning new things are some of my greatest joys.
I am excited to bring my passion for architecture, wellness, and community to the PTA, and I look forward to contributing to the continued success of Fremont Elementary. Let's work together to make this a fantastic year for our children!

Vice President, Fundraising: Sonya Quick

I’m Sonya, mom to Anna who is a Fremont 1st grader and Jack who promoted from Fremont last year. I’ve been a member of the PTA since Jack started kindergarten. I joined because I remembered going along with my mom to PTA meetings back in elementary school. My favorite thing about the PTA is how people come together to build a village of support for every student, educator and family.

Vice President, Programs: Suzan Luu Guayasaman

Hello my name is Suzan and I'll be serving as your PTA Programs VP. My family includes my husband Fernando (who you may recognize in the valet line in the mornings during drop off), Maya, a 5th grader, Bella, a 2nd grader, and our senior Jack Russell Terrier mix, Benny. We are LA transplants to LBC, by way of the City of Orange for me and São Paulo, Brazil for Fernando. We have lived in Long Beach since 2013 and just love the community here which often feels like a small town. In my role, my goal is to continue to help build our sense of community at Fremont. When not at school, I love traveling the world, walks, second hand shopping and tending to my succulent garden.

Vice President, IDEA Committee: Shyamala Moorty

Hello Fremont Community!  I am a 4th grade parent who is passionate about celebrating diversity and developing community through the arts and culture.  I am a professional director and choreographer, www.shyamalamoorty.com, and have been a part of the IDEA committee of the PTA from its inception in order to further promote Inclusion, Diversity, Equity and Accessibility at Fremont.  The IDEA Committee organizes various new Fremont events such as our Fall Friendship Potluck, Community Nights, cultural activities, and events to promote understanding around neurodiversity, LGBTQ identities, deaf awareness and more.  It takes a village to do all of this, and so I invite you to join our lovely group of volunteers!  If you want to be involved in any way, big or small, or if you have an idea that might enhance Inclusion, Diversity, Equity and Accessibility at Fremont, reach out at: ideacommittee@fremont-pta.org

Communications, IDEA Committee: Haleh Johnson
Hi Fremont Family! My oldest, Eileen, is going to first grade and I also have a 2-year-old named Leanna. I am an Architect and own an Architectural firm (www.hjarc.com) in Long Beach. My business is a proud sponsor of the PTA. Since we joined Fremont last year, I have been amazed by the incredible support and enrichment that the PTA provides. I’m mostly proud of the fun and engaging events put together by PTA that promote diversity and inclusion at our school.  Looking forward to contributing in any way I can to the success of PTA and Fremont Elementary.

Hi everyone!  I am Devereux's mom, Catherine.  He is in 3rd grade and has been at Fremont since Kindergarten.  It's amazing how quickly the years have gone by and I thought it was time to give back to the Fremont community.  We both love being in LB and at Fremont.  I am looking forward to supporting the school, teachers and parents so that Fremont can continue to be a nurturing and fun learning environment for the kids.  When I'm not chasing Dev down for homework or chores, we love to play sports, eat anything sweet and making life fun.  I'm excited for the years to come and hope to meet more parents!
