Neurodiversity
Neurodiversity is a concept that describes how people process information and interact with their environment in different ways.
A child who has difficulties with attention may benefit from hearing (and seeing) step-by-step directions and subsequently repeating them back to demonstrate understanding.
Youth with sensory sensitivities may be better able to tolerate loud noises in a classroom if they are given headphones to west during loud classroom activities.
These strategies help ensure that all children have access to services that promote their quality of life.
